Types of Interpretation Language Services

CP Language Institute offers both consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation. What's the difference?:
Consecutive interpretation
In this mode, the speaker speaks for a few seconds or minutes in one language, and then pauses while the interpreter repeats his message in another language.
This method allows for greater detail and accuracy in the interpreted message, and is best for legal and medical settings. It should be noted that a meeting using consecutive interpretation will be roughly twice as long as one using simultaneous interpretation.
Simultaneous interpretation
Generally working from a sound-proof booth with headphones and a microphone, the interpreter listens to the speaker and simultaneously interprets what the speaker is saying into the target language.
Simultaneous interpreting allows for interpretation without interrupting the speaker, and is usually ideal for large meetings, conferences, as well as settings where only a small number of the audience needs interpretation.
